Attorney Benjamin A Johnston practices exclusively in the area of Social Security Disability law and has done so since 2006. As part of his practice, Mr. Johnston represents claimants at every level of the adjudication process from the initial application through the hearing level with an Administrative Law Judge. Mr. Johnston has also successfully represented claimants at the Appeals Council and Federal District Court levels.

A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mr. Johnston received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Utah in 1999. He attended the Sandra Day O’Conner College of Law at Arizona State University and received his Juris Doctor in 2006. While in law school, Mr. Johnston participated in the Disability Law Project, served as the Chapter Justice in the Black Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, and volunteered as a mediator in Maricopa County Justice Courts.

After returning to Utah in 2006, Mr. Johnston was admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Utah and in 2008 was admitted to the same in Nevada, though he is currently inactive in Nevada. In 2013, Mr. Johnston was nominated and admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He has also been named to the Utah Business Magazine Legal Elite several times, most recently 2016 and 2017.

In his spare time you will find Mr. Johnston on the golf course, in the stands of the University of Utah football games, or spending time with his wife, step-daughter, and dogs.
